Now that Adam is in Std One, we've got no choice but to take a break during school holidays. We decided to go to PD. I was not so excited about it (hey! is just PD not Gold coast) though I needed the long leave to relax my mind. So much more after my uproar with my lady boss. I made a mistake by telling my children on Sat that we are off to PD on Monday because the moment I spilt out the beans, the next two days, their favourite questions started with when, how and what. When will monday come? How many hours more to wait and what are we going to do there?
The day finally came and since they can't contain the excitement any longer, we departed at 10.30 am...although PD is just 1 1/2 hours away and you can only check in at 2pm. After 10 minutes in the car another string of questions came out. "Are we there yet mama? or after 11.30 it will be 12.30 right? so will we reach there at 12.30. ? and so on and so forth.
We reached Ancasa Suite at 1 pm and luckily without much hassle we checked into our apt. Bad asked for a seaview aprt and we got the highest floor, the 9th floor. The aprt is spacious, nicely decorated and the view is beautiful. Both the bedroom has a balcony which opens to the sea. I really do not mind just sitting in my bed and enjoying the view, taking it all in.
But the darling duo would never leave me in peace. Off we went to the pool after lunch. Since it was school holidays, there were many other children there. But Ancasa has 2 kids pool, 1 adult pool and 1 wading pool, so it wasn't so crowded. One thing I like about this place is that the facilities are situated not too far away from one another. The pool, the main lobby, the balinese garden and Spa are within a close-knit are. When u walk on the path to the Spa, you can smell the sweet scent of the trees/plants they plant along the way. Of course if u walk at night is a bit scary isn't it? I went for their aromatheraphy massage. It was so good. Oh yes, their food is also good although the spread is minimal (for RM 25 ). I dont have any complains about their services either. The staff are pleasant and helpful. (Ancasa shud pay me for this promo).
The next day we went to the Ostrich Farm. It is a so-so place but so much better than Taman Buaya in Malacca. Hmmmmm I tried a few times feeding the ostrich but they are so tall and big, I got scared. I got to touch a baby crocodile, Adam took a picture with a bird on his hand, Nureen get to feed and carried the rabbit and Bad ...well he yelled out when a chicken feed corn on his palm. Overall the place is quite educating and okay.
The rest of the holidays were just spent at the pool and the beach. I really, really had a great time. I think this is one of the best holidays I've ever had. Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant but every moment spent is worth to treasure.
Signing off now and assalamualaikum to whoever is reading.
