Hallooooooo, wah lamanye tak update my blog. Mainly because I have this PC problem, virus, slow etc, etc. Time or rather the lack of it, buat lagi malas nak update.
I am now without a maid, since december actually. So life is pretty hectic, juggling between house chores and working life. Hubby and I are really tired. And one thing for sure, I cannot rely on my family so much for help. So much hu ha.
Nureen is now in kindergarden and Adam is in std 2. Tried to download pictures of them but as usual, slow giler. I went through Adam's maths homework one day. And my god, things have really changed. Their maths is like my maths when I was in Form 1. Maths are now being thought in English and that is a good move made by the Govt but the maths are not as simple as ten-minus-one kind of question.
This is how the question goes. "I am a 3 digit number. My Hundreds digit is 2 more than the tens digit. My tens digit is 3 less than the ones digit. My ones digit is 4 more than 0. What number am i"
So anyone reading my blog, can u give the answer.? Maybe to adults, they can but to a std 2 kid.??? I wonder how would Adam solve this in his exam. And lucky thing, my son's understanding in english is quite remarkable but to those kids who doesnt, I do think they will have a hard time. And eventually, they will be bored to death, give up on school work, and start skipping schools, unless if the teachers have a teaching method to make them understand and enjoy learning maths. No wonder nowadays, tuition is like a must to every student.
And this is just one subject.
Almost 10 am. Got to pen off. Adam wants a bihun goreng when he comes back from KAFA. So assalamualaikum.

Ramadan Comes Again
It has been almost 2 mths since I updated my blog. No idea maaa what to write. Now is already the 16th of Ramadan. Alhamdulilah this year Allah has given me good health to continue fasting and perform tarawih prayers. Adam also has started fasting although at times kantul jugak la.
Work wise... busy with so much stuffs on my plate at the moment. Still reporting to that lousy boss but nowadays I chose to ignore her attitude and just do what I have to do. Less confrontation, no headaches, avoid anger and aku definitely will look young forever.
Hey..today I managed to park my car without much hassle, unlike before, berpuluh-puluh kali pusing stering, ke depan kebelakang. I still have that sweaty palms and kecut perut feelings though.
I visited Nin's blog today. I really envy her blog. Very creative and interesting. Takpela...ada org tu have all the time in the world to explore. This lady has been very quite lately, dont know why.
Enough babbling for today. Assalamualaikum.

Eco Challenge 2007
Yesterday I participated in my Bank's yearly event called Eco Challenge. My team consist of 4 ladies, Me, Zah , Ilani and Tina and we named our team "pink jambu". Or rather I chose the name because it sounds cute. It is actually a name of a boutique which I saw somewhere in Amcorp Mall, I think.
Basically, we have to finish 10 obstacles in 5 hours time. But sadly this year we did not finish all obstacles. Personally if I were to compare this race with last year;s at Janda Baik, the route from one check point to another were too far.
We started the race with me and Tina solving 10 clues( called score orienteering) and the other 2 members took the bicycle challenge. For the 2nd challenge, it was on road running plus a bit of forest track. This route was quite okay and we had to weave "atap " using coconut leaves at the 2nd check point.
More running after that and this time it was even harder. It was on a road running stretching about 2km. Though it may sound near but the road are hilly and steep all the way to the next check point. And all of us except Tina, were panting and heaving to finish the climb.
For the 3 rd challenge we had to grate the coconut the old fashion way and then ate them. On to the next check point. We had to run in the forest and eventhough it was not as hilly as the one in Janda Baik, the distance was far. We lost much time walking in the forest. Maybe if we did more training before the event, we could have save the time by running.
It was about 12.25 pm we reached check point 4. At this stage I knew we could not make it thru to the 10th. For the 4th challenge it was lake crossing. Not so bad because we did wear a life jacket and a rope was there to hold on to. Halfway across, rained started pouring.
For the next route to CP 5, we had to run thru another long distance in the forest. This time it was harder to run for the tracks were slippery. All 4 of us experienced the many ways of falling down. I think we spent about 45 min, maybe longer, in this leg of journey.
Reaching CP5, we did abseiling. To me it was quite scary, esp at the point where you have to lower down your body horizontally and move slightly, putting your trust on the rope and the strength of your hand. Even as I am writing this my palms are sweaty. I was the last one to come down as I was moving ever so slowly, not brave enough to turn my head and look down.
Luckily, it was not raining when we were doing the abseiling.
To the next CP, another walk and run in the forest. The rain started again and this time the slippery tracks really slowed us down. I was right infront, but each time I had to stop and wait for my team members. One had a cramped leg earlier, the other was being too careful not to hold to torny plants. I fell down many times myself. There were parts where the heavy rain created a sort of swampy areas along the tracks. At some points the water were as high as my waist.
It rained all the way thru until we came out of the forest to a nearby road. We were all cold and wet and tired. The road lead us to the next check point which, if we had reached earlier, we would be testing our skills in archery..tsk..tsk. ( this is the part where i really look forward to doing but sadly to say takde rezeki).
So that was the end of it. We did not manage to catch the time and missed on doing other things like kayaking n flying fox. Sad!!.
I was disappointed that I could not beat at all out timing last year. (this is really a bad year when comes to all this for me, starting with the T hunt). Mainly because, the enthusiasm was not there. We did not trained our mental and physical to really face the challenge. To the members of pink jambu, hopefully next year we will do better.
I hope that the organizer will choose another venue next year. Taman ppertanian Shah Alam are lacking in facilities which makes the event inconvenient to all of us. (No place to bathe, worst part, no water. Parking lots and event place are far - they dont allow cars inside. etc).
Today, I cuti. My body is aching all over.

Orang Gomen
I really hate dealing with goverment personnel. They are lazy, dumbos, inefficient and simply irritatatingly ignorant. And yet the govt has increased their pay. For what yea? Their services - zero. To ability to smile - zero. PR skills - zero. Of course bukan semua but 99% are like that.

Hunt Tuah
Jenuhnyelah nak download gambar. I went for my treasure hunt last week saturday. The hunt ended in malacca- equatorial hotel. I had a different team but we did okay. Can say that we managed to answer most of the questions but other teams did much better than us. And we did not win. Frust betolllll. We lost a lot because we did not submit 2 treasures. For my own personal record, I managed to crack a lot of clues this year so kira cam terror le sikit sampai ada winning team call me to verify their own answers.
Gambar my team - no 114. From left - me, ayu, zana and zab.
At nite we went to have dinner at pantai klebang. Abg talib's team belanja all of us. The next day, we went to Jonker street. Bought some stuff then we went back home after lunch. Sounds boring isnt it?. It was. Actually last years hunt was much more fun, the place Awana Kijal was better, the food was good. This year's venue was crampy, the food was lousy and it was really hot that weekend. Overall rating...so - so.
Letih betul la nak download gambar. Ayang...takde berhajat ke nak tukar streamyx.

Orang Melayu
There are times when I really hate dealing with my own race. Why do I say this?
One scenario, a long time ago, I wanted to buy flowers for my hantaran. There were two stalls selling flowers, one is a chinese stall and the other one is a malay stall. I went to chinese stall because the flowers that I wanted was there but after that I went over to the malay's because there were still more flowers to buy. And guess what I got? The malay lady actually cursed me for going to the chinese stall saying that I am not helping the 'bangsa melayu'. Excuse me!!!!!. If the first thing that u get is cursing rather than a smile do u still want to buy from the Malay lady? I dont think so. I just walked on without buying anything from her.
Second -I wanted to buy a nutrional food from a Malay salon one day. Since they did not have a stock for that particular product I had to wait for two days and she said to wait for her call. But of course after two days, no call came. I called her up and as I expected the stock still hasnt arrived. Is it so hard for the owner to call me and let me know of the delay? She went on complaining about the stockist who caused the delay. As far as I am concern, as her customer, that is not my problem. You promised me 2 days, you make sure you get it in two days or if u cant deliver ur promise, have the courtesy to inform your customer la. And the stockist is also another dumbo. I believe the stockist is also a Malay woman. Why cant she deliver the stocks on time regardless of how many packets the shop ordered. After all stockist are always within the same area as the shops that sell their products.
Third - Recently, I sent to a Malay tailor to make baju kurung. Reason being, the first time around the baju kurung was nicely made and I was really satisfied. I sent it on Thursday and asked her if she could have it ready on Monday and she said Insyallah. With that I assume she should be able to make it on time or at least the day after. I went back the next Thursday (instead of Mon) and the baju is not ready. I grumbled a bit about the time and she gave the reason she did not have the time to do it because she is alone. Hallooooooo....that is no my problem laaa. You could have said that earlier isnt it. I even saw on her calendar, pasted on the wall, that my name was being put under "Wednesday" and not Monday as she promised. Okay fine, I will take the baju next monday then. But until today she didn't call me to let me know if my dress is ready.
I know that u get this from other races as well but I notice that it is always the Malay people who doesnt know the meaning of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Seriusly, how on earth you want to help the Malay people to do well in their business?? and yet u get people saying "kalau tak tolong bangsa sendiri, sapa lagi yg nak tolong?" .

Ketam goreng kari.
I felt like eating crabs, so yesterday, we went to pasar borong and bought almost 2 kg of crabs( which is about 5 ekor because they are big). So today, I decided to to cook ketam goreng berempah. This is the reccipe where you have egg in it not the normal kari ketam. I know is quite a common recipe but punye le jenuh mencarik recipe in the net. I found two related recipes but am not sure how the outcome is going to be.
But yg menyakitkan hatinye today, my landlord sent a plumber to fix something. He was suppose to come at 9 am but nak dekat pukul 11 baru dia sampai. Reason for being late.... went to buy things to fix the plumbing. Dah tau nak dtg today, gi le beli smalam ke. Apalaaaa. Now is almost 12 noon and he is still at it. Malas betul kalau lambat masak. Normally around this time I would have finished cooking and dah boleh relax depan TV.
Okay...he's done. Nak start masak.
